First Sunday of 2014
Today me, my brother and my older sister had our grocery and decided to watch a movie after. But before watching a movie, we passed by this arcade and we saw this racing game. My brother is a big fan of fast cars and racing so we were pretty sure that he’s going to love it. It’s his first time to play in an arcade and he was pretty excited.
We were surprised at how good he was. He even knew how to properly use the steering wheel I don’t know where he learned that. But seeing him do it makes me feel happy and really proud. He’s naturally good at figuring how things work by himself especially when it comes to things that he loves.
The movie that we watched was “Girl, Boy, Bakla, Tomboy”. The movie was really funny. Better than Vice Ganda’s other movie “Praybeyt Benjamin”. Even my brother laughed at some scenes. It feels really good to laugh hard every now and then, weird but I somehow feel relaxed after watching the movie. When we got out from the cinema, we were greeted by a very long line of people waiting for their turn to watch the movie. Even now the movie’s still very popular.
Of course I won’t let the first Sunday of the year pass without going to church. My sister and brother went ahead and took a taxi while I rode a jeepney to church. My sister is tired from her duty at the hospital and my brother is too, he had a long day and he wanted to go home already so I went alone.
Good thing Kizha was there. We talked about about what’s been going on with our lives lately, about our friends, careers, plans and dreams.
After talking and strolling the mall for what felt like more than 2 hours, I went home with that. A perfume. Because it’s new year, I decided to try a new scent.
I always feel contented and relaxed after going to church. Today’s service was all about being the light to others. Just because you are not comfortable with the people you’re with right now, doesn’t mean that you have to leave. As Christians we should mingle and live among people who need help so that the light of God can shine through and that they could know God too through you. Another lesson that can surely help me deal with adapting to uncomfortable situations in my life. Especially right now that I’m exposed to new and unfamiliar environments, lifestyle and people.
Forgive me, I can’t help but post my first “selfie” for this year :)
